Position Summary:
This individual will be involved in the development of commercial industrial instrumentation products from prototype design through manufacturing and commercial introduction. The individual will be responsible for conceptual and detailed mechanical design, stress analysis, material selection, product qualification and reliability testing, as well as provide support for system integration testing and transition to manufacturing.
Experience/Education:
5 plus years experience with a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required, MS preferred. Experience in industrial instrumentation design a plus.
Responsibilities/Skills:
- Strong mechanical engineering background in the design of industrial sensors and instrumentations
- Background in static (FEA) and dynamic structural analysis
- Experience with material selection and testing (including metals, plastics, composites and encapsulants)
- Strong skills in conceptual design, product qualification, prototype testing and design for test and manufacturing methodology
