Position Summary:
Under general direction, provide pre-sales, sales and post-sales application and troubleshooting technical support for our customers in North, Central and South America. Perform some marketing and sales activities related to above activity when possible. A U.S. based position with preferred residence in Connecticut or Houston, Texas.
Experience:
Candidate should have a solid, three years experience as a field service technician installing and servicing electromechanical equipment and systems. Past experience working in a process industry along with experience specifying and/or troubleshooting process instrumentation. Experience with flowmeters and/or mining industry highly desirable.
Education/Skills:
- Associates Degree (electrical or mechanical) from a technical school required.
- Candidate must be bilingual (English - Spanish), with knowledge of Portugese highly desirable.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills in English or Spanish, good skills in other language.
- Must be proficient with a computer and software such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to explain technical issues regarding CiDRA products to an audience of varied degree of understanding regarding SONARtrac products.
- Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. Broad knowledge of fluid mechanics and flow measurement principles.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide presales technical support to help the CiDRA engineering and business development organizations to interpret customer specifications, determine the suitability of SONARtrac equipment and/or services for the application.
- Work with customers, CiDRA engineers, service technicians, and business development team members to provide application surveys, installation services, field trials and/or demonstrations at customer sites.
- Work with customers, CiDRA engineers, service technicians, and business development team members to provide post-sales troubleshooting and application expertise to resolve customer problems.
- Maintain expertise in assigned areas of specialty. (e.g. mining, oil sands & extraction processes)
- As required, provide technical training to customers.
- Function as the main focal point for technical questions, customer support requests and coordination of unresolved customer application issues in assigned area or locale.
- Maintain higher-level expertise for CiDRA products and their application in the markets/industries that we serve.
- As required, track RMA's to customers to return equipment to CiDRA for evaluation.
- Write diagnostic and installation reports as required.
- Achieve prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customer complaints and problems.
- Individual must be a self-starter with ability to plan, organize and execute.
- Individual must posses excellent communication and presentation skills
- Individual must be able to travel 50% to 75%.
- Coordinate activities in various regions (North, Central, South America) with CiDRA office and local independent sales representative.
- Primary travel will be in North America and Mexico, with some travel to South America (mainly Argentina, Chile, Peru, Venezuela).
- Candidate may reside in Connecticut or in Southwest USA (Texas preferred).
