SONARtrac Value Proposition
The SONARtrac meter needs to be installed one time - this is extremely attractive to the customer dealing with this application. Furthermore, the line can be cleaned out while the meter is in place.
Maintenance can be done on the meter at anytime; the mill does not need to wait until mill outage for installation or maintenance. Typically, the mill manager has confidence in the magmeter reading for approximately 4-6 months of the year. After 4-6 months, the electrodes become coated and the reading develops an offset that negatively impacts the chemical dosing of the paper slurry.
The SONARtrac meter is not affected by coating inside the pipe; therefore, the quantifiable business results are derived from reduction of maintenance costs, reduction of installation costs as well as the reduction of costs associated with improper dosing of chemicals.
