CiDRA SONARtrac® Systems Receive ATEX Approval
Wallingford, CT - May 23, 2007:

CiDRA Corporation proudly announces ATEX Class I, Zone 2 certification for the SONARtrac process monitoring systems. The certification by UL International Demko A/S is ATEX II 3 G EEx nL[nL] IIC T4 IP55. The ATEX directive was adopted by the European Union and compliance is mandatory for all electronic equipment offered for sale in any EU country if intended for use in explosion-hazard areas. This approval signifies the availability throughout the European Community of SONARtrac systems which may be safely used in hazardous locations classified as Class I, Zone 2 (explosive gas mixtures). This certification is extremely important as CiDRA broadens its global operations, as new opportunities in Oil and Gas, Chemical and other industries in Europe emerge.

SONARtrac clamp-around systems allow deferment-free retrofit installation on existing flow lines without compromising the integrity of the production system, especially in brown field developments, where this translates into a unique value proposition. International Oil & Gas customers have repeatedly expressed their high interest in such a technology for accurately allocating production. "ATEX certification further enhances SONARtrac surveillance systems' unique value proposition to the oil and gas industry by combining the ease and convenience of clamp-on surveillance with the ability to operate in hazardous areas, " said Paul Khuri, Vice President and General Manager for CiDRA's Oil and Gas business.
