CiDRA Appoints Operations Manager for Oilsands Business

Wallingford, CT - October 26, 2009:

CiDRA Oilsands Ltd. has recently appointed Perry McKechnie to the position of Operations Manager where he will be responsible for and manage all field service operations and related client interactions in Ft. McMurray, Alberta. Perry will also play a critical role in business and application development initiatives that will contribute to the continued expansion of CiDRA Oilsands’ flow assurance, slurry management and pipeline reliability services.

Earlier this year, CiDRA announced the creation of a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, CiDRA Oilsands Ltd. to provide complete product and service solutions to the oil sands industry. Since it began serving the oil sands industry in 2003, CiDRA has successfully launched a series of innovative products and services, based on SONARtrac® and HALO™ technologies, that have been developed to meet the unique challenges of its customers involved in surface mining operations.

“The formation of a separate company whose sole mission is to provide ongoing technology innovation and differentiated information that help enable our customers to increase overall operating and process efficiencies, is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to the industry,” says John Viega, President and General Manager of CiDRA Oilsands, Ltd. “The appointment of Perry to Operations Manager further ensures that this commitment is supported by a service and customer support organization that embraces and delivers the highest standards of service excellence and responsiveness to our customers as we grow our business.”

About CiDRA: CiDRA is headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut with an increasing number of international offices. CiDRA’s patented SONARtrac® flow technology has established itself as a new class of industrial flowmeter, utilizing measurement principles that are distinct from all other flowmeter technologies operating today and is ideally suited for measuring flow in difficult slurry applications within the energy and natural resource industries. CiDRA has been aggressively developing various service offerings related to flow management and assurance, velocity profiling, and overall plant monitoring and process optimization in mining, oilsands and pulp and paper applications. CiDRA products and services are being used by over 250 customers in 21 countries.
