Real Time Sand Bed Detection Service for Tailings and Hydrotransport Slurries
SANDtrac™ passive sonar and signal processing techniques are now being utilized by operators in plants to map out and characterize coarse tailings and hydrotransport slurries. Using the velocity profile distribution and other information provided by SANDtrac systems, operators can detect the onset of a stationary sand bed which can lead to plugging a slurry line causing millions of dollars in lost production and clean up.
