A customer application for the SONARtrac® flow meter would include monitoring the flow rate of a thickener tank underflow at an iron ore mine. The sonar flow meter is unaffected by the magnetic properties of magnetite slurry and provides end users with the ultimate solution to flow monitoring. Its clamp on design prevents readings from being affected by magnetic properties allowing the users to have better control of CaO additions to improve product quality.
